Last Class - Last Period

This moment seemed very far, but as everything in life, good things don't last for a long time. I write this time about my last class in my teaching practice in the university. I was pretty excited about this because I was used to prepare classes and all that stuff in order to teach, I even learned to enjoy the classes I taught and each group of students.
This time the topic was "Passive Voice", and as students have studied that in the previous classes, my work was giving them enough practice to make sure they understand the topic very well. Everything started with a warm up in which they learned some verbs in present perfect that will be useful for them in order to make sentences with the right spelling of the verbs; we played "hangman". The group was divided in two, and they were supposed to say a letter to guess the word in the board, if they say a wrong letter they were closer to lose the game. After that, the group was given a page with ten sentences in active voice so that they rewrite them in passive voice. Then, they were given another page with other sentences in passive and active so that they identify if they were in active or passive.
At the end, I asked the students to make groups of three to create a story using passive voice. The group liked the activity, but because of time just one group was able to read the story to the group.
Finally, I must say that this experience has been great for me, and I'm sure that this will help me a lot for my future.

Second Class - Last Period

Well, I'm really happy to tell you about my second with the last group I'm going to have. This time the guide teacher told me that they were still having some problems with the use of gerunds and infinitives, so I tried to look for different activities in order to teach them in a clearer way abou that.
First of all, we started with a warm up in which students had to create a story, they had to use their imagination to say one piece of story; all of them ahd to pay attention because they had to continue according to waht the previos classmates was going to say, the activity was nice because all of the participated and they had fun. Then, students had to complete a filling exercise in which they had to choose between a gerung or an infinitive to complete the sentence, then I checked answers in an oral way. After that, students had to work in pairs in order to interview a classmates with some questions they were given, but the main pupose was that they practiced the gerund and infinitive form.
After all that, students had to stand up and find some who... They were given a page with a list of things for them to find a classmates for each statement, but they had to give some information about that like the reason why the classmates did or liked that, etc. They had a great time with this activity and they kind of knew more things of each other. We finished with this activity. I'm looking forward to teach my last class!

First Class - Last Period

First of all, I must say that it is very exciting when you have a new group because you have to adapt to the group to see what their needs are. But I must also say that this time it is different because it is the last group of my teaching practice; it has been great to teach through all the previous levels, and it will also be a pleasure to teach this last group.
With all the previous been said, I have to continue saying that I taugh my first class with the group in a very nice way; they were practicing a lot about the usage of Gerunds and Infinitives, so I just brought practice for them to understand better. The class started with a game they all liked, that game was bingo. I gave students a page with two different boards that had different infinites and gerunds in order to play bingo. Then, I continued checking some exercises the group had previously done. After that, they were asked to read in groups of tree a paragraph they had in their books, and then discuss what the reading was a bout. After that, each student read one part of the reading out loud for all the class so that they practice reading, and then they complited some exercises according to the reading.

This was basically the first class, and I'm looking forward to teach the second one.
